Lab Sessions

Designlab Lab Sessions are compact, 1-2 session, live UX & design workshops taught by working practitioners. Capped groups, hands-on, and built around one focused skill.

Introducing Lab Sessions

Lab Sessions are Designlab's compact, live workshops: one or two sessions on a single topic, taught by someone who does the work for a living. The format is sized to the subject — enough time to actually learn the thing, and no more than it needs.

What makes Lab Sessions different:
One specific topic. One or two sessions. Each workshop picks a single skill and focuses on it, rather than surveying a field.
Get hands on keyboard. This is not a talk. Every session has working time built in, where you use what you learned with the instructor "in the room."
Do work relevant to you. Each Lab Session gives participants the opportunity to bring in current examples from their job and/or learn skills they can apply immediately. For those who'd rather not share current work with the group, we provide examples. Either way, the practice is real.
Live and capped. Sessions run in real time with limited seats, so you can ask the question you actually have and get an answer right away.
Recorded, if you need it. Sessions are recorded and available afterward, though the live working time is hard to replace.

Lab Sessions cover less ground by design than our full courses, which usually run 4-6 weeks or more. Different scope, same standard. If you're looking to train a team, we do that too.

Single topic.
1-2 session workshops.
