AI creative tools have moved far beyond novelty.

Today’s leading creative teams are using AI to explore visual directions faster, generate production-quality assets, and scale creative workflows that would have been difficult or impossible just a few years ago.

But in many organizations, AI adoption is still uneven. Team members may be experimenting individually with different tools, prompts, and approaches, without shared standards for quality, brand consistency, or how AI should fit into the creative process. This hands-on training helps creative and visual design teams move from one-off AI experiments to practical, repeatable workflows. Through guided exercises, real examples, and team-specific discussion, participants will learn how to use AI for visual exploration, asset generation, style development, campaign concepts, production support, and other creative use cases. The training typically runs 6–12 hours and can be delivered as a full-day workshop, a series of shorter sessions, or a multi-session program depending on your team’s schedule.

By the end of the workshop, your team will have a clearer understanding of what AI can do today, where it fits into your creative process, and how to use it in ways that support quality, consistency, and creative judgment.

Customized for Your Creative Workflow

Regardless of tool stack, learn workflows to generate images with precision.

Every creative team works differently. Some teams are experimenting with new AI tools and orchestration platforms, while others are working within established brand systems, Adobe-based production workflows, or approved enterprise technology stacks.

Before the training, we collaborate with your team to understand your goals, current workflows, tool environment, brand needs, and production constraints. From there, we can teach a recommended AI creative workflow or adapt the workshop around the tools and processes your team already uses. The goal is not to add another disconnected tool to your process. It is to help your team understand what AI makes possible now—and how to turn those capabilities into practical creative workflows your team can actually use.

Our Trainings Cover Cutting-Edge Tools

Build Practical AI Workflows Across Your Creative Team

YOU WILL LEARN

1
Where AI is changing creative production: Understand how AI tools are being used by modern creative teams to accelerate concept development, visual exploration, production workflows, and asset variation.
2
How to move beyond one-off prompting: Learn how to create repeatable workflows using briefs, references, constraints, critique, and iteration—not just isolated prompts.
3
How to generate higher-quality, more consistent visual outputs: Explore techniques for improving visual quality, maintaining brand direction, using reference material, and evaluating AI-generated work with a designer’s eye.
4
How to orchestrate tools and models for different creative tasks: Develop a practical understanding of how different AI capabilities can support different types of work, from early exploration to more polished production assets.
5
How to apply AI to real creative deliverables: Practice workflows that can be adapted to your team’s needs, such as campaign concepts, moodboards, image systems, social assets, product visuals, visual identity exploration, or short-form motion concepts.

Learning Outside the (Virtual) Classroom

Deeply ingrained in our programs is the idea that learning happens best when facilitated by real human connection. That’s why we’ve focused on building opportunities for Designlab students to connect with peers, mentors, and others in our community.

Connect, Collaborate & Discuss

At the center of our community is the Designlab Discord server. Here students, alumni, and mentors alike help each other get unstuck on coursework, give career advice, and provide design feedback.

But it’s not all business on Discord. It’s also a place where people discuss wellness practices, share book recommendations, find online video game partners, and talk about their favorite stationary (all real examples).

Learning, Live

Our courses feature live sessions (Group Crits, Peer Sessions, and more) so students can  present work, discuss feedback, and practice integrating the value of active critique into their design work. While the precise format varies by course or program, they all provide the chance for students to interact with peers in a facilitated session.

Real-World Insights: Expert-Led Events & Workshops

Being part of the Designlab community has its benefits. Students, alumni, and mentors receive lifetime access to our full slate of exclusive events and workshops. These online events cover a wide range of topics from navigating the job market to storytelling, user research, the latest design tools, and more.
