Cartier's Gamification Campaign Shows a Creative New Strategy
- Explore the creation of luxury brand Cartier’s new web experience in this expansive case study, which takes an illuminating look at the multifaceted design decisions that went into the making of an immersive, gamified adventure where players can win access to exclusive products.
- The attention to detail, brand identity, and user experience is truly impressive. The visuals are striking, the music serene, and playability is straightforward but still challenging: all details that mirror tenets of the exclusive and imaginative brand, which designers sought to capture during development.

AI-Powered Booth Creates Immersive Athletic Experience
- Design agency Noomo was a stand-out contributor this year at Amazon’s AWS re:invent conference, where they designed an immersive AI experience geared towards athletics, with a lifesize interface that could assess users' movements, providing hyper-personalized feedback in real-time.
- One important facet of the design process for Noomo was inclusivity: they made sure to have the tech be accessible for all users, building in adaptions for participants with special considerations, such as those who use a wheelchair.
- “Our attention to detail and animations was intense, aiming to craft an experience that was not only immersive but also intuitively responsive to each user's actions.” - Check out Noomo’s full case study for even more insights.
Client Red Flags: How to Avoid Bad Clients
- Designer and digital marketer Roshan Perera considers what behaviors designers can use to pinpoint potentially troublesome clients, providing guidelines for discernment, as well as active strategies for coping with difficult client relationships.
- Despite your role as the designer, a client should still have an understanding of what they want: clients who are vague about the scope of responsibility, can’t communicate clearly, or are unwilling to collaborate are all signs of a potential problem.
- “The key to avoiding bad clients is to spot them early during your initial conversations. If you look closely, you will notice specific red flags and warning signs that they give off. It will allow you to steer clear of potential trouble and focus on the clients who value your skills and experience.”
