Here’s what you can expect from our talented alumni.
Marty, CEO of Lockaware, knew he had a great concept and a great team, but needed a designer to make an elegant and functional website. His users would not be a tech-savvy clientele so he needed someone who could develop an easy-to-use website in one week.
Quickly develop a style guide and marketing website wireframes for locksmith startup.
Marty was having a hard time looking for high-quality designers within his budget. He was immediately impressed by the quality of our designers. It was clear that Designlab would be able to provide him with excellent results within his budget and timeline. “Our designer, Edyta, always made herself available via slack and phone calls. She was transparent about her thought process and provided her own feedback. We actually learned so much about design hierarchy!”
By working with a Designlab designer, Lockaware was able to get their style guide and marketing site mockups for their developer within their timeline. The result is a clean and elegant website that they can proudly share with investors, clients, and customers.
PayNearMe is a payments solution that helps individuals pay their bills using cash at thousands of in-store locations around the country.
Ernaz, marketing lead at PayNearMe, approached Designlab about a major upcoming feature launch the company was planning to undertake. PayNearMe wanted to rethink their visual identity to signal the new functionality their product would offer, and were hoping to bring in some external help.
Work with the PayNearMe team to develop an updated set of style and brand guidelines to assist PayNearMe with their marketing relaunch.
Paul, a recent UX Academy graduate, first worked with the PayNearMe marketing & design team to understand their brand design goals. They considered a number of potential directions, including the role that illustrations, iconography, and photographic assets would play in supporting their brand appeal.
Paul worked with the team to create site maps, user flows, mockups, and conduct remote user testing to get feedback on multiple landing page flows the team was considering.
The team was able to bring in new perspectives under cost and within the timeline they were shooting for.
After rounds of user testing and feedback from the PayNearMe team, Paul handed off a final package that included Sketch files and mockups of the homepage, guidelines for photographic assets to use in marketing collateral, and a set of detailed sitemaps, task flows, and user flows to support future work by the PayNearMe team.
“Designlab and Paul were amazing to work with. We gave them our old desktop UIs and they turned them around quickly with a new, streamlined, more modern, easy to use look and feel; along with a clickable demo. Way beyond our expectations and such a quick turn around! We'd recommend them without hesitation.”
