We recently sat down to chat with Peter Noah, a UX Academy graduate and now Product Designer at Artsy, an online marketplace for artwork.

Like many of our community members, Peter is a career switcher with decades of experience already behind him in the workforce.

Peter's background is in marketing and advertising, where he worked his way to a position as the Director of Marketing and Brand at Getty images. But, while he enjoyed his career growth, it ultimately took him to a role where he spent more time managing people than actually designing.

Kick back with a good cup of tea and your best note taking app to watch this on-demand webinar and learn more about:

  • Why Peter decided to transition his already successful career from marketing and advertising to product design
  • His experience in UX Academy, and his advice for anyone interested in pivoting to UX/UI design
  • What a typical day-to-day looks like as a Product Designer at Artsy
  • What excites Peter about his new career path and how it has affected his personal and professional goals

More about Peter Noah:

Peter is located in New York City and enjoys doing CrossFit every day for physical and mental health. He has run a total of 10 marathons—9 in New York and 1 in Los Angeles! 🏃
He spent the last year learning how to bake, and is now learning how to cook more intuitively.

Peter graduated with a degree in Economics and started his professional career as a general assignment reporter in Allentown, PA. In this session, he’ll be sharing advice for career switchers, early-career designers, and those who are interested in learning more about what it’s like to work as a Product Designer.
