🎨Marketing UX/Web Designer, Contract

Part-time (20 hours per week), Remote

Designlab is looking for a Marketing UX Designer to help us evolve our public-facing web experience and take it to the next level.

The Marketing UX Designer is responsible for improving our public-facing web experience by evolving the user experience, optimizing the effectiveness for lead generation and conversion, and improving the customer journey for different audience segments. Along with this, you’ll collaborate across teams to help us establish an art direction and brand approach to our web experience that is wholly unique to Designlab.

This role has direct accountability for the quality of our website’s user experience and design, as well as advocating for best practices and systems that help create a foundation for the web experience.

Role Responsibilities

  • Accelerate our marketing team’s growth strategy by designing test pages that drive fundamental improvements to the website experience and performance
  • Develop the design standards/systems and layout for designlab.com and targeted landing pages
  • Create, document, and maintain our design system for all .com properties in collaboration with our Design, Dev, and Growth teams
  • Advocate user-centered design methodologies and incorporate qualitative and quantitative research findings to enhance optimization tests and .com designs
  • Collaborate with a content designer and Marketing team to understand the Designlab audience and develop a journey and hierarchy of information that meets their needs
  • Iterate on web feature, component, and page design to optimize the experience
  • Ensure that web design and content is compliant with accessibility requirements

  • Have dedicated experience in helping companies evolve their web strategy, systems, and user experience
  • Craft inclusive, simple, and beautiful user experiences
  • Have exceptional verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Are excited to evolve Designlab’s web presence through iterative design and testing
  • Have great problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for responsive web experiences
  • Are excited to ideate from scratch and improve features within a user-centered design process
  • Have strong skills in communicating and influencing web design/experience strategy

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working as a web or UX/UI designer, with experience working with in-house design teams
  • Strong skills in partnering with cross-functional marketers to envision and deliver well-designed web experiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely with high speed internet access
  • Experience designing web experiences, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building web page/user interface mockups and prototypes
  • Experience in information architecture and content design considered an asset
  • Portfolio highlighting multiple web projects and your direct contributions
